Started in 1991 by Jeffrey Burton, our company has grown to reside in a modern, fully air-conditioned and humidity-controlled, 80,000 sq. ft. plant. Our capabilities have also expanded to include manufacturing millwork packages for general contractors, cabinets, stairs, and full woodwork packages. We have built a loyal customer base and created a niche of manufacturing residential millwork for very high-end residential projects. Position Summary:

The Engineering Intern will assist in the drafting and generation of CAD shop drawings and millwork details. Providing support and assistance in the preparation of drawings, material lists, specifying hardware and assembling information for fabrication and installation teams.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Thoroughly examine and interpret architectural and interior designs from drawings, constructions blueprints, specifications, and supplemental documentation
• Production of detailed and accurate shop drawings of millwork and casework and various other millwork items using CAD or other applicable software.
• Accurately and clearly label measurements, plan elevations, sections, details, schedules, and finishes.
• Work closely with the production team to provide input on the best methods of construction and provide engineering clarification as needed.
• Accurately determine hardware form and fit and function
• Update field dimensions and revise drawings per red lines as needed from Architects and PM]
• Revise documentation per customers request, and or field dimensions
• Modifying customers design for functionality and structural integrity
• Produce full size profiles of moldings and identify profile knife locations
• Creation of new blocks and sections in AutoCAD
• Consistently utilizes millwork knowledge to provide professional service

Qualifications:

2-3 years of work experience in the millwork industry or a construction related education program
