Summary :

The Plant Manager oversees all daily operations of the plant from production and manufacturing to ensuring SOPS, policies and procedures are followed. They develop processes that will maximize stewardship, safety, quality, and productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Management:

Lead plant production and maintenance personnel in day-to-day activities to ensure safe and efficient operations.

Develop and maintain an effective organization through selection, training, and motivation of personnel.

Foster a culture of continuous improvement, teamwork, and accountability.

Oversee workforce planning, staffing, and training to ensure a skilled and capable workforce.

Production and Operations:

Plan, organize, and direct manufacturing operations to meet production goals.

Ensure production schedules are met and products are delivered on time.

Monitor operations to ensure adherence to established procedures, standards, and guidelines.

Implement process improvements to enhance production efficiency and reduce costs.

Quality Control:

Ensure all products meet or exceed quality standards and specifications.

Implement and maintain quality control systems and procedures.

Address and resolve production issues that affect product quality.

Safety and Compliance:

Maintain a safe working environment by ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.

Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions.

Ensure the facility complies with all local, state, and federal regulations, including environmental and labor laws.

Financial Performance:

Prepare and manage the plant budget.

Monitor and control costs to meet financial objectives.

Analyze production data and financial reports to identify areas for improvement.

Inventory and Supply Chain:

Manage inventory levels to ensure the availability of materials and finished goods.

Coordinate with supply chain and procurement teams to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and components.

Optimize inventory management practices to reduce waste and improve efficiency.

Customer Relations:

Maintain positive relationships with customers and address any issues or concerns promptly.

Ensure customer satisfaction through timely delivery of high-quality products.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.

Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in manufacturing management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

Experience in marine parts manufacturing or a related industry is highly desirable.

Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control, and safety regulations.

Proven ability to manage budgets, analyze financial data, and drive cost-saving initiatives.

Proficient in the use of ERP systems and manufacturing software.

The Plant Manager may be required to work extended hours, including evenings and weekends, to meet production deadlines.
