Why We Need You 

We seek an innovative marketing manager to promote our rapidly growing brand and product. Our ideal candidate is someone who can create and design content based on our sales needs, and implement those creations across multiple channels: digital and print, email, in-store, and at farmer’s markets. This person is the bridge between the Source Farms brand and our customers. They will report directly to the Sales Director and work closely with the Farmers Market and Farm Store Managers. 

We need a purpose-driven, action-oriented person who wants to ensure, through deeds, that “food for good” becomes available to many more people.

Requirements

Responsibilities for Marketing Manager 

  • Increasing brand awareness and market share
  • Overseeing branding, advertising, and promotional campaigns
  • Gather and analyze information to identify new markets and customers, demand for products and services, and efficacy of existing marketing campaigns and strategies
  • Working with the sales team to capture and utilize customer information
  • Working with the sales team to develop and implement a multi-channel marketing effort to support Farmers Market sales, Farm Store sales, and online sales. 
  • Create and schedule email campaigns, administer mailing list
  • Responsible for maintaining knowledge of our product and partners to effectively advise and sell to customers through multiple channels – newsletters, social media, special promotions, or other channels

The Nitty Gritty 

  • Passion and connection around food, cooking and/or farming 
  • Experience in developing newsletter content as a sales funnel to nurture customer relationships 
  • Proficiency in electronic marketing automation software
  • Extensive knowledge of marketing strategies, channels, and branding
  • Deep understanding of traditional and emerging marketing channels
  • Numerically literate, comfortable working with numbers, making sense of metrics and processing figures with spreadsheets
  • Strong project management skills
  • Self-starter that is resourceful, creative, and capable of handling multiple projects at one time and meeting deadlines
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while efficiently and effectively managing competing priorities
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Plans, prioritizes, and organizes work effectively to produce measurable results
  • Strong problem-solving ability, including metrics-driven thinking

Experience: 1-3 years of experience as a marketing manager, has a bachelor's degree in marketing, finance, business administration, or similar

Benefits: Benefits include health, vision, dental, life insurance

Salary: Total compensation is $60k or more, commensurate with experience, and aligned with sales projections 

Work Location: This position is based in Carlton, OR. We ask that the person live within 30 minutes of Yamhill County, OR if possible or be willing to commute to Carlton. While we have regional and national customers, the importance of building relationships through presence in the community is an important building block for understanding the ecosystem from its root. Relocation will be considered for the right candidate.
