Sounds True is Hiring a Learning Management System Administrator (Part Time) Near Louisville, CO

Sounds True, founded in 1985, is a multimedia publisher specializing in spirituality, holistic living, and transformational learning. We are seeking a part-time Learning Management System (LMS) Administrator to join the Education and Program Development Team.

The LMS Administrator serves as the in-house LMS expert and supports course creation while also overseeing the day-to-day maintenance of Sounds True’s eLearning platform. They are responsible for building courses to stakeholder’s specifications, gathering and evaluating platform and learner data, overseeing the day-to-day operation of the LMS system and working closely with Sounds True’s Customer Support team to ensure issues identified on the LMS are resolved.

Responsibilities:

  • Works closely with Producers and Instructional Designers to build courses that meet the needs of the company, the Subject Matter Experts, and the Learners
  • Partners with the Director of Education and Program Development to identify, optimize, or explore opportunities and functionality within the existing Learning Management System
  • Oversee course maintenance and ongoing support needs
  • Collects, evaluates, and regularly delivers learner engagement data to various channels within the company
  • Liaison with the Customer Support team to ensure errors or issues within the LMS system are addressed in a timely manner
  • Maintain standards of excellence in instructional design and learner support

Qualifications:

  • 3 years of experience with managing LMS platforms 
  • Thinkific experience
  • Basic project management skills
  • Knowledge of HTML
  • A passion for the types of programs Sounds True creates
  • An understanding of instructional design, learning pedagogies, and online instructional design tools
  • Excellent communication and self-management skills
  • Exceptional problem solving skills 
  • A genuine interest to be a team player

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Has strong collaboration skills
  • Has a solid background in Learning Management System software and best practices
  • Has experience in program development, Instructional design, learning theory, and online training development
  • Has an aptitude for prioritizing multiple demands at once
  • Has 3 years experience in learning design or training development field
  • Has experience with a variety of LMS platforms and online instructional design tools
  • Has a genuine interest and connection to the mission of Sounds True
  • Keen and quick problem-solving ability
  • A positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Experience creating and implementing efficient processes
