WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?
We’re seeking a Manager of Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) to join us as part of a high-growth, high-impact company. Your role as an SDR Manager is as a player coach. You will spread the mission to provide innovative, scalable, executive-level leadership coaching to everyone as we rethink the $45B leadership training industry. You will be a source of knowledge and best practices amongst the SDRs and will help to train, onboard, and mentor new SDRs. As part of the core team, you would work directly with our VP of Marketing to set, drive, and execute our pipeline/revenue goals. This is a one-of-a-kind opportunity to join a growing team to expand the business at scale. WHAT WILL I BE DOING? (specific details of the job):
Lead a team of SDRs to create qualified opportunities for the sales team
Train members of the SDR team
Take on operational and administrative tasks to help the SDR team perform and exceed expectations
Working within Salesforce, LinkedIn, Outreach, and other platforms to source leads and manage contact during both large-scale and individualized outbound efforts.
Prospecting via LinkedIn Sales Navigator to grow the network, build relationships, and source leads/referrals.
Show effective time management and self-led prioritization in day/day activities.
Bring creative and new ways to attract leads and streamline processes.
Find creative ways to communicate Sounding Board’s unique value proposition to new prospects to reach a monthly quota of pipeline/meetings set for our enterprise sales reps.
WHAT SKILLS DO I NEED?
You are:
Fanatical about building new relationships and hunting for opportunities. You’re always looking for ways to expand, engage, and educate your network.
Familiar with Salesforce, Outreach, CRM tools, etc.
Organized, disciplined, and persistent: you know how to run a high-volume leads pipeline across multiple channels, nurture leads, are disciplined in following up, and persistent in both handling objections and educating your prospects.
Hands-on yet strategic - a player/coach, so you know what it takes to lead and achieve success: We talk a lot about being able to go high to low. You can set high-level priorities and roll up your sleeves to get things done.
Curious, coachable, open, and ambitious: You’re a voracious learner and naturally curious. You have your own point of view about things while being open to feedback. You want to make an impact on everything you do
Self-starter – you need to remove your own roadblocks, figure stuff out on the go, and won’t wait around for someone else to tell you what to do. You thrive on challenges and like to problem-solve. You also recognize when you need to raise your hand and get help when needed.
Tech-savvy: you like technology, understand the leadership industry and where it's going, and can share these market changes with your buyers
Excited about working with an experienced team of sales and business leaders on a mission to create an incredible platform dedicated to developing the next generation of leaders
Understand the buyer landscape and the L&D/HR tech industry to effectively create campaigns
WHAT EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS DO I NEED:
5 years of industry experience in managing SDRs/BDRs, preferably in technology, coaching sectors, or HR tech.
Prior management experience is required.
Proven track record of sourcing deals, engaging new prospects, and converting leads.
Experience selling to enterprise through the HR, learning, or people functions at the leadership level
Experience in high-growth or early-stage startups
Experience with CRM and Outbound software (Salesforce and Outreach preferred)
