Sony Music Entertainment US is Hiring a Director of Product Management Near New York, NY

In this role, you will work at the intersection of music, entertainment, and technology, amplifying the vision and voices of our artists across a broad range of platforms and media. The Data & Analytics team is responsible for product design and development of analytics and data delivery across all of Sony Music and Sony Music labels. We are currently seeking a Director of Product Management to help drive product innovation and premium brand data products across the entire Sony Music ecosystem. The ideal candidate is highly collaborative who is passionate about music, technology, and innovation, who cares about customers, and understands the value of industry leading user experiences.

What You’ll Do:

  • Work as a valued colleague with the directors of design, technology, and marketing to help define and implement the product development long term and short-term roadmap for all product lines.
  • Lead your team to the highest level of product management in the industry while establishing a premium product mentality.
  • Oversee technical integrations, define product experiments, and iterate to improve user experience and business value
  • Work directly with the product marketing team to create processes internally and externally to ensure successful product launches
  • Conduct frequent proof of concepts with cross-functional stakeholders to inform successes and identify roadblocks and risks when activating new product solutions.
  • Partner with Data Team to help communicate product data needs, roadmap creation, and ongoing communication of cross product communication of all data needs.
  • Champion a healthy, welcoming, corporate culture through which you will help transform the product team into high-quality high-functioning innovative workplace.

Who You Are:

  • 10 years of relevant work experience with at least 7 years in Product Management or Business Analysis
  • Self-motivated, with strong leadership skills, and a proven track record of successful delivery working with multi-disciplinary technical and product teams.
  • The ability to collaborate with design and marketing leaders to create a holistic product strategy; also be able to quickly switch to understanding technical detail level when supporting customer requirements, designing new features, and when issue resolution is required.
  • Excellent project management skills, detail-oriented, with strong problem solving, analytical, quantitative communication and organizational skills.
