Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Program Management team. The position provides an exciting opportunity to work with a highly collaborative, experienced and energetic team in a dynamic startup environment. The position will partner with a Program Team Leader(PTL) and work closely with our Core Teams to drive day-to-day activities, develop program plans, manage timelines, facilitate communication across teams, manage vendor relationships and other external collaborations, and deliver on program objectives.

She/he will drive cross-functional coordination in collaboration with the PTL to ensure that program goals are successfully executed in alignment with overall business strategy. She/he may support programs from discovery through clinical development stages and the position can be based in either our Seattle or South San Francisco offices.

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Partnering with the PTL to create the program plan and budget, as well as day-to-day planning, coordinating, and tracking of critical activities.
• Management of Core and Subteam meetings, prepare agendas, and document minutes and action items for these meetings, following up on action items.
• Facilitating decision making, highly effective team building, and communication within team.
• Ensuring team decisions and status are clearly communicated across Core and Subteams.
• Creating and manage program timelines (Gantt chart), includingto identify all significant activities, dependencies, resource needs, and milestones, tracking progress against timelines.
• Organizing, track, and report program metrics, milestones, decision points, and risks.
• Participating in key operational initiatives for the teams (e.g., budget planning, resource planning and communications).
• Management of meetings with CROs, academic institutions, and other partners.
• Implementation of fit-for-purpose best practices in program management, including the use of dashboards, templates, tools, and processes to drive efficiency, alignment, and communication on teams.
• Preparation of presentations and dashboards to report program status to functional heads, senior leadership and other key stakeholders.

Required Education, Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree with 5 years in Biotech/Pharmaceutical industry
• 2 years program management experience in drug development
• Knowledge and understanding of overall drug development process, including discovery, pre-clinical development, regulatory filings, initial clinical trial initiation and execution, CMC.
• Advanced PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and project management software (MS Project or Smartsheet preferred) skills are a must.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, innovative, dynamic environment while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient.
• Excellent organizational, communication and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills to build trust, form and maintain strong relationships.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Advanced degree such as PhD, MBA or M.S. in applicable discipline
• PMP certification
• Experience in drug development for cell therapy
