SONOCO LIMITED is Hiring a Supply Chain Analyst Near Broomfield, CO

While reporting to the Director of Supply Chain the Supply Chain Analyst will be responsible for planning, organizing, and direct the maintenance department activities to ensure employee safety, proper preventative maintenance and maximum uptime of the board machine.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Supervise the daily activities of millwrights, electricians, and pipefitters; oversee the work of other support crafts as needed.
  • Manage hourly craft schedules and prioritize work.
  • Develop and manage the annual maintenance budget. Participate in monthly forecasting meetings and report any positive or negative variances from budget.
  • Make tours daily checking for maintenance problems, conferring with production personnel in regard to work orders and inspecting jobs being carried out.
  • Ensure that maintenance work is carried out at a minimum cost in labor, materials, and lost production.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain a preventative maintenance program, including vibration analysis, electrical equipment maintenance, IR scanning, and medium voltage testing.
  • Perform troubleshooting when equipment is not operating properly.
  • Maintain harmonious relations with employees by administering contract provisions and company policies to avoid breach of contract, to ensure conformance to work rules and regulations and to administer appropriate disciplinary measures when necessary.
  • Manage outside contracted labor resources for projects or repairs including price bidding, review of staffing requirements, and daily work direction.
  • Plan and oversee machine maintenance outages for staffing of internal and external labor requirements, proper job scope and critical time path adherence.
  • Supervise the daily activities of maintenance utility, which includes lubrication, cleaning and painting. 
  • Supervise operation of the storeroom and ensure critical spare parts are available.
  • Manage all necessary inspections, including, but not limited to, calibration testing, SPCC for mill oil systems, pressure vessel inspections, safety relief valve testing, crane inspections, sling & hoist inspections, and ensure adherence to NFPA 70E, etc.
  • Act as mill RSO (radiation safety officer) for radiation source used in dry end scanner.
  • Issue purchase requisitions for outside services, machine parts and contracted labor.
  • Participate in the investment process by estimating equipment and installation costs. Recommend equipment for investment based on replacement needs, ROI and risk. Perform project management duties for installation of investments.
  • Maintain complete engineering files for all proposed and installed projects.
  • Continually improve safety results by addressing both physical safety issues and employee safety behaviors. Ensure that all health and safety guidelines are followed by all employees.
  • Direct maintenance department to eliminate physical safety hazards that have been turned in by employees through the Safety Action Card system.

This position is located in Broomfield, CO.

We’d love to hear from you if:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, or technical field
  • Electrical Engineering degree preferred, with experience in electrical system management
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience with increasing responsibility in manufacturing and labor union environment, preferably in the pulp and paper industry
  • Strong communicator with leadership skills, independent thinking, organization and planning abilities
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are essential

Compensation:

The annual base salary range for each level will be based on candidate experience/skill set. As follows:

Analyst - Supply Chain from $53,025 to $63,630, No incentive

Analyst II - Supply Chain from $67,050 to $80,460, No incentive
