Overview

As a key member of the Executive Management team, the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will report to the Owner and will assume a strategic role in the overall management of the company. The CFO will have primary day-to-day responsibility of overseeing all financial functions including accounting, finance, payroll, forecasting, job costing, budgets, credit, insurance, legal, property management, tax, treasury, partnership compliance and private and institutional financing. Leads and directs the work of others.

Hours: 8:00am – 5:00pm, additional hours as needed. Requires willingness to work a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

· Developing Objectives and Strategies - Establishing long-range objectives and specifying the strategies and actions to achieve them. Develop performance measures that support the organization`s strategic goals.

· Direct and oversee all aspects of the Finance, Payroll & Accounting functions of the organization, and ensures a disaster recovery plan is in place.

· Ensure processes are in place and documented procedures for providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial trends and forecasts.

· Reports financial status by developing forecasts; reporting results; analyzing variances; developing improvements.

· Oversee the approval and processing of revenue, expenditure, and position control documents, department budgets, mass salary updates, ledger, and account maintenance and data entry.

· Ensure that the company complies with all legal and regulatory requirements.

· Develop and implement finance, accounting, billing, and auditing procedures.

· Take hands-on lead position of developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive systems.

· Evaluates and advises on the impact of long range planning, introduction of new programs/ strategies and regulatory action.

· Provide executive management with advice on the financial implications of business activities.

· Ensure that effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.

· Holding and conducting regular meetings with your office staff & supervisors.

· Identifies staffing needs, interviews, hires and trains staff.

· Guiding, Directing, and Motivating Subordinates - Providing guidance, training and direction to subordinates, including setting performance standards and monitoring performance on a frequent basis.

· Succession Planning - Identify top performers and formalize specific development plans by empowering, coaching and motivating them.

· Demonstrate Enthusiasm - Enthusiastic Managers are committed to their goals and express this commitment through optimism.

· Establishing and Maintaining Interpersonal Relationships - Developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, and maintaining them over time.

· Updates job knowledge by remaining aware of new regulations; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

· Lead by example, evaluating departmental workload requirements and staying late when needed.

· Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Working Conditions: Majority will be an inside office environment.

Physical Demands: Regularly required to stand or sit, and move about the facility.

Education and Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting, Finance or Business.

· Master’s degree is preferred.

· Six (6) or more years of progressively responsible experience in accounting and financial management, demonstrating financial leadership at the executive level supporting an organization with $50M - $150M in annual revenues.

· Certifications/accreditations such as CPA, CFA, CMA are preferred.

· Manufacturing Industry Experience required.

· SAP experience required.
