As the Maintenance Assistant, you'll perform housekeeping and cleaning duties within well-established guidelines and assigned areas and assists the Director of Environmental Services with the building, grounds and equipment.
Some responsibilities include
- Maintains a clean and sanitary community, inside and out by performing general janitorial and custodial support to the community.
- Maintains cleanliness of entrance way, parking lot and patio areas.
- Maintains all common rooms including lounges, offices, public bathrooms, dining room, storage and supply rooms, stairwells, hall railings, windows, windowsills and mirrors, light fixtures and wall pictures. Replaces bulbs in exit signs, halls, offices, community areas and resident rooms when needed.
- Assists the Maintenance and Housekeeping Director in all areas including major projects of repair and painting.
- Provides deep cleaning service two times per year for each apartment.
- Responds to maintenance requests from residents.
- Picks up supplies and materials at local vendors as needed.
- Organizes furniture and sets up special events.
- Reports all hazards to Maintenance and Housekeeping Director.
- Willing to help out in any emergency and provide a variety of support services as needed.
- Responds to building emergencies, accessible by pager on a rotating schedule.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by the Maintenance and Housekeeping Director.
