RESPONSIBILITIES

-Be responsible specifying, designing, implementing, releasing and supporting firmware & software for embedded systems

-Work with product management to provide technical solutions for desired user experiences

-Participate in design reviews, API development, and documentation

-Deliver architectural documents, design specs, software and firmware source code

-Perform tasks including debug, bring-up, Beta and production software development

-Write engineering / system test plans

-Experience with Wireless and Wired technology: Ethernet (TCP/IP), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, UWB

-Develop products pursuant to USB-IF standards and USB firmware development including high-speed USB 2.0, USB 3.0, USB-CPD

-Develop iOS Applications and communication APIs to communicate with IPORT devices via USB, Bluetooth, UWB

-Develop and deliver control documentation for internally developed APIs to share with hardware / software partners

-Effectively communicate and collaborate with hardware / software partners on joint development projects

-Integrate existing APIs from hardware and software partners

-Develop & maintain Firmware Update protocols and architecture for IPORT devices

-Experience in coding C/C

-RTOS and embedded Linux development including 32-bit microprocessor architecture including device drivers, boot loaders, operating system principles

-Implement issue tracking principles and systems like JIRA

-Implement and manage source-code control systems such as git,

-Utilize in-circuit emulators and logic analyzers

-Develop firmware for MFi iAP2 accessory development including USB Hub, CarPlay, iAP2 over Bluetooth, and Ethernet Adapter products

Requirements

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

-Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field

-5 years of professional software development experience for mass production

-4 years of programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C , or C# including object-oriented design

-3 years of experience contributing to the architecture and design of new and current systems.

-Experience in computer Science fundamentals: object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving

-Board level experience and bring up

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

-Strong debugging / trouble-shooting skills of embedded systems

-Expertise with Linux kernel and device driver development

-Experience with real time debugging tools (software and hardware)

-Experience with ARM based SOC architecture and SOC hardware selection

-Experience in Apple MFi Hardware Accessory firmware development

-Experience in iOS Swift application development and App-to-hardware integration 

-Experience in firmware update principles and platforms (OTA, cloud-based)

-Excellent judgement, organizational and problem solving skills

-Customer-facing communication experience 

-Ability to communicate up and down throughout the organization

-Excellence in technical communication with peers, partners and non-technical people.

-Algorithm development for sensors, UX logic

-Multi-lingual: Mandarin a plus
