Sona Pharmacy is Hiring a Laboratory Technician Near Asheville, NC

Description

We Are Looking For

A Laboratory Technician to create exceptional compounded pharmaceutical products according to their master formulation and standard operating procedures. This is a laboratory-based position under the supervision of licensed Pharmacists. Compounded pharmaceutical products differ from commercially available products as they are created according to master formulations using bulk ingredients and offer unique opportunities for patients and providers.

The hours for this position would be Monday through Friday from 9:00 am - 6:00 pm.

Responsibilities

  • Create compounded pharmaceutical products according to the master formulations
  • Laboratory-specific tasks such as cleaning, equipment maintenance/calibration, inventory management, restocking, etc.
  • Follow all standard operating procedures and works towards the goals set forth by the Laboratory Manager and the Director of Sona Compounding
  • Flexible participation in all aspects of the fulfillment process as needed

Requirements

What will you need to succeed?

  • CPhT license is a plus but not required
  • Previous pharmacy experience is not required
  • Ability to do basic calculations
  • Top-notch personal hygiene, cleanliness, and self-care
  • Team player to accomplish the goals of the compounding laboratory
  • Highly organized and exceptional attention to detail
  • Excels in a fast-paced and changing pharmacy environment
