We are looking for a Production Manager that will be responsible for the oversight of production operations within the department on multiple shifts – or across several departments on a single shift- to ensure timely production of quality products; Hands-on leadership to ensure that production schedules are met safely and on time, while continually reducing costs and increasing overall efficiencies all within a fast paced (Just in Time) production environment.

Essential Job Functions:

• Support overall management of pre-production, production, production support, and shipping/receiving activities.
• Prioritizes and manages the assignments of hourly production personnel within the department to ensure timely and efficient task completion in accordance with the customer schedule.
• Track and optimize productivity to achieve production goals.
• Reviews all work within the department to assure quality of the work meets customer requirements. 
• Promotes and ensures safety compliance of the department. Holds departmental employees accountable for following all OSHA and company policies and regulations. Actively participates in safety improvement activities.
• Accountable for maintaining accurate and timely attendance records of employees in the department.
• Provides input and recommendation on staffing requirements and selection of departmental personnel. 
• Responsible for the training and development of all departmental personnel. This includes defining the job function requirements and training plans for employees to develop the required skills. 
• Provides input and recommendations on initiatives to minimize waste and scrap.
• Assist Director of Operations with the creation and maintenance of SOP’s and KPI’s. 
• Champion Continuous Improvement Process, creating a learning organization and zero loss mindset.
• Assist in coordinating with Maintenance Department for any break down of plant equipment.
• Monitor operations, set and implement corrective actions to prevent deviations.
• Acts as a mentor among production team members to create a professional and driven workforce.
• Deals with conflict in a respectful, forthright, and timely way so that problems do not fester. 
• Reports issues regarding production, quality, maintenance, or personnel problems to the Director of Operations.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment (ink screen press experience is desirable), 1 year in Supervisory or Leadership capacity.
• Practical experience including production planning and scheduling, manufacturing, inventory planning, employee management, etc. and a general understanding of machines and maintenance requirements. 
• Ability to manage difficult people and hold them accountable. 
• Flexible to work days, afternoons, nights and weekends if needed.
• Experience with data collection, results interpretation, and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail with a production quota driven mindset.
• Knowledge of process improvement, SOP’s, KPI’s and Production reporting required. 
• Exceptional communication skills and a passion for leading people.
• Must be able to effectively multi-task and problem solve in a fast-paced environment with the ability to manage, motivate and train others to achieve required goals.
• Ability to help others see ideas and vision through multiple communication channels.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to perform repetitious, production-line types of work.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to work in extreme heat with temperatures (90 degrees F)
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs
