Proposal Writer At Solution One, our employees work together to provide our clients the best practical solutions. The proposal writer assists in the development of winning proposals, as a member of a broader team, creating compelling content to support business development strategies. In support of technical writing, the proposal writer conducts research through program/ subject matter experts (SME), consultants, the capture team, historical content and company qualifications, and other key stakeholder’s input Location: Fort Worth TX, Salary Range: $65,000 to $67,000 Responsibilities: Ensures that proposal writing meets proposal requirements (responsiveness and compliance), supports ease of evaluation, and effectively conveys strategy and messaging themes.Research proposal materials (RFP, RFI), competitive intelligence and conducts interviews of technical experts and operational resources.Develops concise, compelling, credible proposal narratives and contributes to the creation and sustainment of a content libraries. Collaborates with designers to identify opportunities for clean, compelling graphics.Performs peer review and/or color team review editing assignments.Follows a capture / proposal checklist of tasks in support of the on-time development of competitive, technical products based on the proposal suspense’s / milestones.Analyzes the RFP/bid requirements via customer, online, industry day announcements within gap analysis, compliance matrix and proposal outline templates to ensure both compliance and responsiveness to all customer’s requirements.Builds the proposal outline, storyboards, writing templates and compliance matrix aligned to proposal requirements and evaluation criteria.Collaborates with the Business Development team on capture information and writing themes. Assists in developing the Basis of Estimate (BOE), staffing solution based on RFP provided information, historical data, market intelligence, and or information from the Capture Team. Coordinates, schedules, and conducts regular status /teleconferences with assigned proposal members and or teammate representatives as appropriate to support proposal schedule milestones Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ Federal proposal writing experience Education or Equivalent: From an accredited college or university: Bachelor’s Degree (Business, Engineering, equivalent). Preferred Experience: Knowledge of DoD Logistics Support Services (Supply/ Transportation / Maintenance), and or Base Operations Support (BOS), Facilities Maintenance, Logistics Readiness Center (LRC) / Directorate of Public Works (DPW) programs Knowledge of U.S. Army, Air Force, Joint-DoD regulations Common knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Prior Military Service with honorable discharge Graphics Design (PowerPoint, or Creative Cloud Adobe Illustrator) Professional writing credentials (Shipley Proposal Writing Seminar, Journalism, etc.) Active Security Clearance Knowledge/Skills Requirement: Presentation skills - Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel). Excellent verbal and written communication Excellent interpersonal / teambuilding skills Strong time management/multi-task/ prioritization skills Excellent attention to detail Other Requirements: Ability to manage confidential information with great sensitivity Ability to speak, write and read the English language Willingness to work additional hours to meet tight deadlines Ability to work well under pressure Supervisory Personnel - No Work Schedule - Monday – Friday - 8:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M. or as needed Solution One is proud to be an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer.
