Solugenix Corp is Hiring a Remote BI Developer

Overview

BI Developer

2 positions available. These are 100% remote (except if the candidate is based in Jacksonville, FL or Salt Lake City, UR or Dallas/Houston, TX – then hybrid)

3 month contract to hire (GC, US Citizen, EAD – no sponsorship)

Position Summary: The Senior BI Developer is responsible for supporting the business areas and clients by developing business intelligence solutions leveraging the Microsoft technology platform (Looker, SQL Server, SSRS, SSAS, SSIS and Excel BI tools)

Minimum qualifications:

  • Must be a self-starter who can adapt well to changing priorities.
  • Strong engagement - willing to work closely and collaboratively with users and the team
  • Four to ten years' related experience and/or training required.
  • Experience with Looker is mandatory, along with other comparable BI tools and platforms
  • Some SQL experience - design, development and maintenance of database/server is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook). Previous experience with MSP, Black Knight/LPS and Fiserv preferred.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) or higher in business related field from an accredited four-year college or university with Major field of study in Computer Software Programs is preferred.

Preferred qualifications:

  • The preference is for SQL Looker, but they are open to candidates with Looker experience who are willing to ramp up in SQL. Must be good communicators, engaging with users, flexible and overall smart

Responsibilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with the ability to prioritize and maintain a large volume of multi-faceted work. Also required is the ability to be flexible and adapt to a fast-paced and changing business environment. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • Develop complex SQL stored procedures/views as required
  • Create variety of complex reports using SQL Server Reporting Services, including but not limited to drill down, drill through, tabular, matrix, dashboard, multi parameter reports, etc.
  • Analyze data to provide recommendations to Vice President of group on issues and improvements
  • Provide advice and guidance on database good practices
  • Provide input on systems architecture as required
  • Identify areas and processes where performance can be improved
  • Make and justify recommendations for improvement
  • Continuously tune and optimize SQL queries and ensures that code and other deliverables adhere to company standards
