Located in Houston, Texas, Solugen has recently started-up a first-of-its-kind carbon-negative manufacturing facility - The BioforgeTM - that uses a novel chemoenzymatic technology to manufacture bio-based chemistries for a wide range of applications including water treatment, agriculture, personal care, and other applications. Solugen currently has 175 full time employees.

Mission

The mission of this role is to sell products to Solugen customers and act as point of contact pre & post-sale, focusing on ongoing customer satisfaction, retention, and growing business. This role is responsible for maintaining relationships with accounts by visiting customer sites within assigned territory, defined by geographic area, industry, or product/service segment. In addition to face-to-face meetings, this role will engage with customers over the phone and Internet (e.g., chat, email, video conferencing, etc.) to close sales and support clients. Other areas of responsibility include responding to client inquiries and offering guidance on appropriate products; executing sales strategy, generating sales reports, and identifying opportunities to increase sales volume while ensuring service levels are met. The successful candidate will complete routine sales of products following established practices and policies. Development opportunities include learning sales techniques and company product/service offerings.

  • Generate sales to existing Solugen customers
  • Prospect low volume/revenue customers
  • Responsible for on-boarding customers
  • Responsible for contributions made towards the Solugen core value of delighting the customer
  • Fully adopt and consistently utilize the SalesForce CRM database to manage customer sales

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or high school diploma with relevant years of experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in inside sales or account management
  • Strong communication and project management skillset
  • Familiar with Microsoft Excel/Powerpoint
  • Familiar with CRM, preferably SalesForce
  • Local candidate in Houston metro area
  • Comfortable working in multi-cultural and dynamic environment
