Our client, a well-established standards organization, is looking for a Project Manager with an in-depth understanding of technology infrastructure and enterprise systems design, build out, and implementation. This person will be responsible for project management activities that help move technology projects forward smoothly and efficiently. This includes alignment with strategic programs and coordinating among a wide range of cross-functional internal and external partners to ensure that projects are within the scope and on schedule with support from the project teams. The person in this role will serve as the project lead for specific, multi-discipline technical programs or projects. This is a very visible role that offers professional growth and responsibility for the planning, development, and delivery of technical projects. This Mid-senior level position operates on a hybrid schedule, requiring 2-3 days per week in their New York City office.

• Salary: 130K - 170K; depending on education, experience, and qualifications.

Responsibilities:

• Manages design, deployment and operational turnover of new network infrastructure and enterprise systems.
• Prepares and manages IT implementation project budget and schedule forecasts for project success.
• Provides direction and oversight to technical personnel and contracted vendors throughout infrastructure buildout, deployment, test & check-out.
• Reports to and advises senior management regarding project plans, risks, security risks and concerns, realized and potential scope changes as part of maintaining and adapting project implementation schedules and objectives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or similar discipline.
• 8 years of direct work experience in any of these areas: Microsoft Windows and Active Directory implementations and deployments, Linux implementations and deployments, VMware vSphere implementations and deployments, data center infrastructure implementations and deployments, Network implementations and deployments (WAN and LAN), website implementations and deployments, data centers, and structured cabling design and/or implementation.
• PMP, CSM, CCNP, CCND, CCNA, CCDA, MCSA or other similar certifications desired.
• Track record of delivering mission critical programs on time, within budget, and to applicable build, quality, and safety standards.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Contract negotiation and administration experience.
• Experience building and leading teams.
• Experience in assessing, coaching, and mentoring direct reports and project teams.
• Organizational, time management and coordination skills across multiple disciplines.
