Solid Power is Hiring a Human Resources Business Partner Near Louisville, CO

Position Overview:

Solid Power is seeking an HR Business Partner (HRBP) who will help shape and support the employee experience and aligning business objectives with employees and management. The position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the Solid Power. This role will be primarily based out of Louisville, CO serving as the go-to person for employees and management for human resources related matters. Job Duties:

  • Provide exceptional customer service to employees and managers.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on company policies, procedures, exceptions, best practices, and performance management. Ensure alignment of compliance regarding policies and practices within company vision.
  • Consult with line management, providing HR guidance when appropriate.
  • Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with the HR Department to develop solutions, programs, and policies.
  • Manage and resolve employee relation issues.
  • Identify ineffective or inconsistent practices; make recommendations for more effective practices and policies.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partner with the legal department as needed/required.
  • Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
  • Work closely with management and employees to improve relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation.
  • Collaborate with and support Talent Acquisition with creation of job descriptions and assisting with recruiting tasks.
  • Maintain in depth knowledge of legal requirements of day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risk and ensuring compliance.
  • Support employees and managers with using the HRIS system including creating and pulling reports.
  • Coordinate with Payroll and Benefits regarding leave of absence, ensuring all regulations and policies are applied consistently.
  • Conduct or support regular audits and mandatory reports, which may include I-9 audits, EEO 1 filings, ACA records, etc.
  • Coordinate with team members on benefits administration, recruiting, and payroll.
  • Stay current with trends and relevant changes to HR related laws.
  • Assist with open enrollment, new hire onboarding, and various HR and Company events.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • 5 years of experience in an HR-related role, with at least 1 year as an HRBP.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience resolving complex employee relations issues.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • SHRM-CP or PHR preferred.
  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee and union relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws.
  • Strong knowledge of compliance regarding employment law and best practices.
  • Experience in high growth company with an enthusiasm for change and opportunity.
  • Ability to maintain absolute confidentiality and exercise professional judgment and discretion.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office – Outlook, Word, manipulating and building Excel spreadsheets, and Teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Customer service mindset and a positive, approachable demeanor.
  • Experience working with HRIS systems and UKG Ready preferred.
  • U.S. citizenship or Permanent Residency required.

Salary Range: $68,000–$91,000/year
