Solid Power is seeking an EHS Technician to join our talented team of engineers and scientists working to revolutionize the battery industry through the development of next generation, all solid‐state rechargeable batteries. Solid Power is a dynamic, fast‐paced, collaborative, and innovative team environment. The preferred candidate will have will have 3 years of environmental, health, and safety experience in the manufacturing or chemical industry. This role will support the environmental, health, and safety (EHS) department by executing a variety of EHS tasks at two facilities.

Job Duties:

• Perform tasks that support the plant's environmental and OSHA regulatory reporting and record keeping requirements.
• Perform regular site inspections to evaluate site compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations and identify areas of improvements. May include fire extinguishers, eye washes, storm water, hazardous waste accumulation areas, among others that support the execution of the EHS program.
• Support the hazardous waste program by verifying adequate waste supplies are maintained, moving drums and similar containers including hazardous waste using manual methods, and hazardous waste pickups including signing of waste manifests.
• Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining environmental related programs including, but not limited to, the waste management, wastewater management, air management, community right-to-know, training, emergency and spill response, emergency management and preparedness, contractor safety, chemical approvals, hazardous waste purchasing addendums, and sustainability.
• Perform new hire safety training and other safety specific training as needed.
• Performs miscellaneous job‐related duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least three years of experience in a related field preferred.

Qualifications/ Requirements:

• Fundamental knowledge of safety codes, OSHA 1910 and other regulatory requirements. Past OSHA 10 or 30 certification a plus.
• Fundamental knowledge of environmental requirements including EPA 40CFR or CDPHE. Past RCRA and DOT certifications a plus.
• First Aid/AED certified or willing to become certified required.
• Computer proficiency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Rapid learner and self-motivated who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative start-up environment.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills with a strong attention to detail.

Physical Requirements:

• The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.
• The employee is occasionally required to wear a respirator.
• The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to10 pounds and may occasionally move up to 50 pounds.

Salary Range: $20.00 - $27.00/hour
