DevOps Engineer (remote)

We are looking for a to join our SoftwareAG Government Solutions Cloud Engineering team. SoftwareAG Government Cloud is a FedRAMP authorized cloud infrastructure that offers SoftwareAG products in a secure and performant environment for both government and commercial customers. We are a diverse and distributed company that collaborates internationally with our parent company, SoftwareAG, to achieve our mission - "We connect people and technology for a smarter tomorrow"Basic Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and support immutable infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code (IAC)
Identify use-cases and develop further automation to help both end-users and developers function more efficiently
Effectively communicate with developers and other cloud engineers both orally and written
Be able to troubleshoot issues across the entire infrastructure stack in a timely manner
Provide technical leadership and guidance around DevSecOps best practices

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or any comparable degree
Strong experience and knowledge of containers, container security, and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes
High-level understanding of AWS cloud computing technology
Experience with CI/CD Pipelines
Experience OR knowledge of GitOps
Basic knowledge of full stack applications and how to best architect them for microservices
Basic knowledge of AWS networking fundamentals and persistent storage
Skills to identify and implement cost-saving solutions for CloudOps
Familiarity of agile methodologies

Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS)

Bash scripting

CI Tools like Jenkins, Github Actions & DroneCI
Helm and Kustomize
Gitops tools like Flux and ArgoCD
