Overview

Soft Tech Consulting is seeking a highly motivated, self-directed individual to fill the role of a Systems Administrator for an existing government client. The place of performance is in Alexandria, VA.

MUST HAVE TOP SECRET CLEARANCE WITH UPGRADE TO SCI

Responsibilities

• Monitor utilization, capacity growth and performance of Network, VMs, applications and physical servers across multiple sites.
• Advise, recommend and test new technology solutions
• Deploy, manage, maintain, and support Microsoft Windows (all versions), Active Directory, local applications, servers, workstations and related technologies
• Respond to monitored alerts to quickly identify trouble source and implement resolution
• Conduct system audits and data backups
• Provide technical solutions to automate processes or functions to improve daily operations
• Assist with design and implementation of technical security technology and IT projects as directed
• Collaborate in authoring system documentation, policies, processes, and procedures
• Provide periodic 24/7 on call support.

Qualifications

• Post- Secondary Education and or combination of education, experience and or technical certification a plus (e.g., COMP TIA Security , A or related disciplines).
• Minimum of 3 years of experience within a WAN/LAN environment.
• Demonstrates a proficiency in all aspects of enterprise level server/workstation systems.
• Must be able to apply critical thinking to solve complex technical problems and function as a reliable team member and able to provide periodic 24/7 on call support
• Demonstrates experience with networking protocols
• Good Understanding and Working knowledge of encryption technologies
• Familiarity with telecommunications protocols and router switch configurations
