Overview

Soft Tech Consulting is seeking a highly motivated, self-directed individual to fill the role of  Information Assurance Specialist for an existing government client. The selected individual will join a collaborative team environment where they will provide support and expertise toward the successful deliver of the project deliverables. Key to the success of this position is the effective communication to all levels of staff for reporting project status. The place of performance for this contract is in Franconia/Springfield, VA.

MUST HAVE AN ACTIVE TOP SECRET CLEARANCE WITH UPGRADE TO SCI

Responsibilities

• Support in the implementation of security controls on AlarmNet.
• Prepare documentation for all system changes and upgrades;
• Work closely with customer, operations team management, and client's personnel to guide paperwork through approval process
• Maintain configuration baseline of approved AlarmNet implementation.
• Identify, report, and resolve security violations.
• Apply expertise to Government and commercial common user systems, as well as to dedicated special purpose systems requiring specialized security features and procedures.
• Perform analysis, design, and development of security features for system architectures.
• Provide integration and implementation of the computer system security solution.
• Analyze general information assurance-related technical problems and provide basic engineering and technical support in solving these problems.
• Perform vulnerability/risk analyses of computer systems and applications during all phases of the system development life cycle.
• Ensure that all information systems are functional and secure.

Qualifications

• A degree in the field of computer science or a related discipline is preferred.
• Possess three to five years of direct experience
• Experience in the implementation of security controls on AlarmNet.
• Experience with the configuration baseline of approved AlarmNet implementation.
• Experience in performing analysis, design and development of security feature for system architectures.
• Experience with integration and implementation of the computer system security solution.
• Experience in performing vulnerability/risk analyses of computer systems and applications during all phases of the system development life cycle.
• Must have strong written and verbal communications. 
• Must be able to work independently with minimal oversight
• Able to develop strong client relationships.
