We are growing our Finance and Accounting department and we are looking for a Staff Accountantto join our team in developing AI enabled robotic solutions for our customers. The Staff Accountant will play an integral role in the day-to-day operations of the Finance and Accounting department. Having a positive attitude and a hands-on approach will allow the right candidate to thrive in this high energy, start-up environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Enter vendor bills and review AP Aging to ensure timely payments
• Communicate effectively with vendors and internal departments to reconcile bills
• Prepare biweekly payment file and submit to VP Finance for review
• Process expense reports in Expensify, scanning for unusual items or discrepancies
• File sales tax returns
• Invoice customers and perform follow-up on overdue balances
• Assist with month end close by preparing journal entries and associated accounting analyses
• Support team with ad-hoc projects

Requirements:

• 1-3 years of accounting experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related field
• Proficiency in Google Suite and MS Office, particularly Excel (knowledge of VLOOKUP and Pivot tables)
• Experience working in an ERP system (preferably NetSuite)
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism
• Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills and ability to interact across all departments
• Start-up experience preferred
