PRODUCTION ARTIST INTERN
Job Description
Sock Club is seeking a Production Artist Intern to join our team. This position will be primarily working on projects under the Custom by Sock Club brand. This position reports directly to the Design Team manager and will have the opportunity to work within the design team. Our offices are located in East Austin and we are proud of our culture, the work we do, and the service we provide our customers. This is an entry level position with strong growth potential.
Your responsibilities will include:
● Working on projects from a variety of clients, for a wide range of end users
● Learning the parameters and features of each of our product offerings
● Collaborating with other members of the design team to translate brand assets into a knit ready format
● Making revisions or adjustments to existing designs
● Managing various templates and keeping files organized and up to date within an existing system
● Preparing necessary files for production
● Reviewing and quality checking products prior to submission and production
● Identifying and recommending process and efficiency improvements for the team
● Learning our processes from start to finish, from initial design through production and delivery of a project or product

Qualifications
● A four-year degree in graphic design or other related field is recommended, degree can be in progress
● Familiarity and proficiency using Adobe Creative Suite (PS, AI,)
● A keen eye for pattern and geometry and the ability to apply design principals to your work on a day to day basis
● Clear and effective written and verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills
● Ability to work autonomously as well as contribute collaboratively
● Eager problem solver with a willingness to learn, comfortable working with ambiguity
● Ego-less listener with the ability to take direction
● Highly detail-oriented eye
● Works well under pressure and with tight deadlines
● Exceptional organization and time management skills, seeks to master tasks with efficiency
We are looking for someone who can commit to 3-5 days per week (25 - 40 hrs per week) in our East Austin office; scheduling is flexible. This position has the potential for growth to full time hours.
This internship is paid based on skill level and can also count toward college credit (if needed).
