We are looking for a driven and collaborative Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Finance team to support Snyk’s rapid growth. This individual should be highly motivated to learn and grow within the organization and show a proven track record to thrive successfully in a fast-paced environment.

This position is responsible for performing accounts payable and expense payable tasks in the US and Canada organizations. This position will participate in the optimization of the newly implemented procure-to-pay system.This role will report directly to the Accounts Payable Manager.

We are distributed across multiple regions including Boston, New York, and Denver in the US; London, Zurich, Malmo, Stockholm, and Romania in Europe; Singapore, Sydney, and Tokyo in APAC; Tel Aviv, Israel; and Ottawa, Canada. We are continuing to expand in other locations as well with 10% of the company working fully remote. We have made an organizational commitment to building a strong, effective, distributed company: we form teams across multiple offices wherever possible, and we invest in communication so that we can benefit from each other’s perspectives. As well as an always-on webcam so we can see what is happening in each office, we make heavy use of video calls, Slack, and some inter-office travel.

You will spend your time:

• managing the day-to-day monitoring of the Accounts Payable team email box, responding to inquiries from both internal and external parties.
• process accounts payable transactions promptly and accurately, ensuring proper application of purchase orders and or proper coding of non-order invoices.
• participate in annual 1099 process along with other compliance requirements.
• supporting the financial reporting group with external audits related to accounts payable.
• work closely with AP Manager to assure timelines are met for monthly/quarterly close.
• working closely with the IT, human resources, procurement, and treasury teams to collaborate on automation and process improvement initiatives.
• collaborate with Snyk’s business partners to ensure prompt and accurate payment processing.
• assisting in the Ivalua procure-to-pay system optimization.
• reconcile company credit card transactions and assign proper GL codes.

• have a bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, in accounting
• have at least 2-3 years’ experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist.
• have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• are easy to work with and can build strong relationships with a broad set of stakeholders that have diverse interests.
• have strong communications skills in both written and oral.
• are highly organized and detail-oriented.
• have a strong working knowledge of accounts payable systems, processes, and controls.
