How you will spend your time as a Heavy Equipment Shop Tech:
- Assisting mechanics and service techs with equipment teardown, repair, and overhaul.
- Move equipment and parts around the shop using cranes, forklifts, and pallet jacks.
- Maintain shop cleanliness and tool function.
- Perform basic equipment maintenance independently – such as changing oil, greasing components, and changing filters.
Skills & experience we would like you to have as a Heavy Equipment Shop Tech:
- Desire to learn new skills from veterans in the industry.
- Strong work ethic and commitment to quality
- Experience operating forklifts.
- Ability to lift 50lbs at a time.
- Ability to work in dirty and noisy environments.
- Ability to crouch, walk, stand for extended periods of time.
