Reporting to Senior Vice President of Product Marketing the Director of Product Marketing is responsible for leading a team to create compelling product stories, architect go-to-market campaigns and rally the company to build sales momentum. At Snap One, Product Marketing architects our go-to-market messaging, champions our campaigns and leads our product storytelling that ultimately delivers impactful results for the business.  This position works collaboratively in a matrixed environment, driving the development and execution of activities with cross-functional teams to successfully align with company objectives and desired outcomes. Key attributes for success in the role include exceptional communication skills, curiosity, accountability, attention to detail, creative problem solving, and business acumen.

 

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the messaging and campaigns created by the team, and accountable for the results they drive
  • Develop and empower a high-performing team including, hiring, training, coaching, mentoring and continually driving performance development initiatives
  • Manage the team in driving competitive differentiation, product positioning, product messaging, and go-to-market strategies, and that all are adhering to a unified market-driven strategic approach
  • Develop metrics and systematic approaches for obtaining comprehensive consumer, market, and competitive analyses that support strategic organizational decisions and product marketing tactics
  • Lead and identify process improvements, innovation, efficiencies, ensuring your team consistently exceed delivery standards and delivers high-quality output
  • Measure, report on and respond to performance metrics through operational KPI’s
  • Demonstrate the standards of accountability, customer focus and quality expected of the team
  • Accomplish results through others, particularly by establishing relationships, effective controls and leading in a customer-obsessed environment
  • Establish relationships across various lines of business to align on plans, objectives, messaging, campaigns, pricing, etc.
  • Support team members in developing and improving their professional skills; and help develop ongoing career progression
  • Quarterback the creation of campaigns end to end, with knowledge of audience, brand, thought leadership, targeting and segmentation strategies, campaign analysis, messaging, positioning, creative, content mapping/development management, and the marketing mix across the buyer’s journey

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business technology or relevant field of study
  • 7 years’ proven success in developing and executing product go to market campaigns
  • 4 years’ experience managing teams
  • 4 years’ experience with B2B marketing campaigns
  • Strong business acumen, creative problem-solving and analytical capability
  • Demonstrated ability to formulate financial/operating plans and drive actual results of business to meet plan
  • Proven ability to meet tight deadlines, to be a problem solver and to juggle numerous projects simultaneously
  • Versed in project tracking tools such as Trello, Wrike, Jira, etc.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced business degree
  • Previous experience marketing AV/Electrical products
