The Accounts Payable Specialist will report to the AP Supervisor. The AP Specialist will be responsible for validating vendor invoices, ensuring proper approvals are met and ensuring payments are made accurately within our contracted terms. This role requires a detail-oriented, motivated, team player who has excellent accounting and time management skills and able to manage high-volume work. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
- Validate, enter, and process vendor invoices for payment
- Communicate effectively with vendors to follow up on invoice submission, remittance and to troubleshoot any issues that arise.
- Work with internal teams to ensure accurate purchase orders and approval procedures
- Research and resolve discrepancies
- Maintain and work within all company internal control and SOX procedures
- Reconcile assigned accounts
- Assist with audit requests
- Assist with 1099 preparation and distribution
- Work with and support other members of the AP team and larger accounting team to collaborate on process improvements.
- Process payments to vendors
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years relevant experience in accounts payable or accounting
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge
- Strong knowledge of charts of accounts
- Knowledge of PO to payables process
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SAP
- Bachelor’s Degree in accounting
- Experience in consumer electronics
- Proficiency using online communications platforms (Teams, Zoom, etc.)
- Familiarity with Power BI
