This is a full-time opportunity, working Monday – Thursday, 6:00am – 4:05pm.

Compensation is based on the skills and experiences brought to Smyth.

As a Quality Technician, you will ensure only the best products are made and that we are making labels which show our level of pride and care. Test and inspect products at various stages of the production process and compile data from the tests. Assist with maintaining quality and reliability of products.

In addition, support the Operational Excellence Manager with the ISO and BRC quality systems. Help increase awareness of what staff should be looking for to eliminate defects based on findings. Work closely with all departments to continue to improve the level of service and quality provided to our customers. Assist with developing and maintaining SOPs in compliance with ISO and Lean Manufacturing. Identify, recommend, and implement areas for Lean improvement/modification.

Skills & Experience:

• Required: High school degree or equivalent
• Required: 0-2 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Required: Gain certification in basic HACCP
• Required: Ability to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions in the English language
• Preferred: Two or more years direct work experience in a quality control capacity in the printing industry
• A Plus: Previous experience with Lean Manufacturing and ISO quality systems
