The IT Senior Functional Business Analyst will be responsible for design, implementation and support of the specific business processes in our ERP ecosystem. The successful candidate will possess a strong combination of business process, analytical and technical skills and will design best practice solutions in close collaboration with our business partners.

The Senior IT Business Analyst role serves as a liaison between the system users, business partners and IT. This role will be the first point of contact within the Line of Business for any process or system related issues whether originated by IT or the users. By leveraging your experience, business process knowledge, leadership skills, positive attitude as well as your understanding and cross-functional relationships you will help deliver process and technology within in a global environment.

Core Responsibilities

  • Actively work with Business Resources to define business processes and associated technical solutions that best meet the business requirements.
  • In coordination with the Business Relationship Manager, be the business area’s voice and liaison with IT regarding acquisition implementations, system enhancements, and upgrades.
  • Communicate business needs, update the leadership team with progress on open requests and work with the management team to coordinate any planner resource needs for design, testing and implementation support.
  • Lead the work effort to ensure your business partner is prepared for any system changes by providing training, standard operating procedures (SOP), establishment of super user forum and consistent communication of progress and identification of any gaps.
  • Interact with external and internal business partners to define business requirements associated with system utilization and enhancements. Define and execute test scenarios.
  • Utilize project management skills to ensure work streams are properly identified and prioritized, resources utilized, timelines met and provide consistent status updates.
  • Review current business processes to determine where automation / improvements will drive efficiency. Identify process efficiencies, recommend innovative uses of software functionality, design, implement solutions and train end-users.
  • Be the go-to person for users with system related concerns and questions. Contact internal or external IT&T support services if truly a system issue or provide training when needed.
  • Partner with cross channel teams to identify opportunities and support the development of new sustainable best practice approaches while providing subject matter expertise in the assigned functional area.
  • Assist in the development of an annual plan that aligns with the business and the functional area.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals to perform the essential functions.

  • Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited four-year college or university in a business, information systems or related field and 5 years of relevant experience in progressive IT related roles; or equivalent combination of education and/or experience, required.

  • 8 years of experience in progressive IT roles, preferred.

  • Minimum 4 years of functional and technical experience with various modules of an ERP ecosystem with analysis and design of business processes and applications, required.

  • SAP experience preferred.

  • Technical familiarity with ERP development / configuration work, strongly preferred.

  • Familiarity with supply chain processes required (e.g. inventory planning, warehouse management, etc)
  • Demonstrated ability to understand system capabilities and how they enable effective business processes.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to effectively communicate with planners, peers and executive leadership.

  • Previous experience in systems support activities.

  • Previous experience in defining business processes and associated system requirements and test scenarios.

  • Demonstrated high learning agility and strong analytical skills.

  • Experience with project management.

  • Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment.

  • Ability to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This job has no direct supervisory responsibilities but may be asked to provide guidance and support to Business Analysts.
