About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President for its Operations Excellence Academy, who will serve as the chief architect of the operations excellence toolbox and organizational development curriculum. This role is pivotal in overseeing the operational excellence framework, which includes assessing each site's performance and advancing skill development programs. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining the organizational capability development strategy, designing the operational excellence framework, and developing a standard library of training materials. They will also facilitate the development of expert skills within the operations excellence team and coordinate training in operations excellence methods across the enterprise. The VP will be expected to have a strong background in operations or related functional leadership, with a proven track record in continuous improvement, and a commitment to safety leadership.Applicants for the Vice President role should have a Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience, with a preference for those with materials manufacturing, cement, aggregates, ready mix, or asphalt experience. A minimum of 10 years' of experience in operations or related functional leadership is required, along with expertise in at least one continuous improvement methodology such as Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma. The candidate must have strong business acumen, excellent leadership and organizational skills, and a high level of integrity. Responsibilities include developing a training program, coordinating with operations leadership and HR, and reporting on key performance indicators. The role demands a detail-oriented individual with excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to influence and lead in a matrixed organization.
