Part-Time Bookkeeper
Smile Island Pediatric and Adult Dental Group and its sister company, Weideman Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics, are seeking a skilled and trustworthy part-time bookkeeper to join our amazing team of dedicated professionals in the Greater Sacramento Area.
The candidate chosen for this position must be detail-oriented, communicative, and exhibit excellent organizational skills. As a vital member of our team, you will work directly with our Office Managers and Owners. Our fun and friendly dental family is eager to receive your application!
Requirements:
- 2-3 days per week primarily on-site (potential hybrid in future) between multiple locations (Rocklin, Citrus Heights, Granite Bay)
- Proficient in QuickBooks and MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- 5 years of bookkeeping and working with accountants
- Exhibits honesty, integrity, and trustworthiness
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices such as general ledger and accounts payable
- Able to produce financial statements and reports
- Excellent communication with ability to relay messages in clear and concise manner
- Accuracy and attention to detail with excellent time management skills
- Track record of reliability, confidentiality, and conscientious work habits
Responsibilities:
- Input and process vendor invoices
- Categorically track all vendor invoices and expenses for products and services
- Record-keeping including filing and archiving
- Format and process reports involving KPIs and various financial/performance metrics
- Prepare reconciliations
- Pay bills and prepare financial statements and reports
- Process refunds
- Performs annual census
- Assist with 401k
- Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies and assist with internal and external audits
- Perform basic office tasks such as copying, scanning, printing, filing, processing mail, shredding and basic organization and clean up
- Perform other financial and accounting duties as assigned by Owners and Management
- Work with company CPA
