SmartyPants is seeking for a Project Manager whose organization and interpersonal skills thrive in a fast-paced environment at a rapidly growing company. The role will work closely with Product Development, Regulatory Affairs, Quality Assurance, Operations, Finance and Sales to bring new products to market and iterate on our existing portfolio of industry leading vitamins.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead Communication with stakeholders across organizational lines to execute objectives
• Concurrently manage multiple projects at various stages while ensuring adherence to new product launch timelines
• Proactively highlight risk assessments and embed action plans to mitigate risks in the project timeline
• Assist Scope and Business Case documentation in the Stage Gate process
• Govern the Stage Gate process and track deliverables from Development to Launch
• Manage Master Data (GS1 registry, item dims & weights, etc.) for commercially active products & new product pipeline
• Review systems, processes and people implications of innovation projects and address these throughout all project phases
• Support complexity reduction activities and sourcing analysis for innovation projects
• Aid in item Stock Cards & Bill of Materials (BOM) maintenance
• Distribute BOMs and item setup forms to co-packers and 3PLs
• Authorize first-article purchases of new Raw Materials/Supplies for new SKUs
• Schedule and track all label/packaging design & proofing updates
• Lead process for implementing changes to existing packaging
• Collaborate in the completion of any change control documents as required
• Track commercial distribution of newly launched product or materials
• Secure samples for stability testing, taste testing, marketing promotions & sales development
• Other tasks and projects as assigned

What You Have:

• Bachelor's degree (Business, Supply Chain, Economics or related field preferred)
• Experienced in using Project Management Software for product innovation
• 3-5 years of Supply Chain or R&D experience; preferably within a CPG company
• Working knowledge of ERP systems
• Track record of adding value and improving scalability via process improvement and/or implementation

Skills / Abilities

• Advanced Excel skills
• Effectively communicate, written and oral, and positively interact with all levels of staff and management across the organization
• Understand process and key parameters required to develop replenishment plans
• Detail-oriented and have proven analytical skills
• Ability to take ownership of initiatives and work proactively to successfully complete projects within tight deadlines
• Be able to make sense out of complexity, deal with uncertainty, and understand implications of a decision and its impact across the organization
• Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure, fast paced environment

Office Environment:

SmartyPants is a fast-moving and mission-driven company that values transparency, excellence, and transformation. Our headquarters in Marina del Rey are a former architect's office, a two-story space where we work in an open environment with no elevator access to our 2nd floor offices. We have a communal garden and we are dog-friendly, often with several pups in the office at any given time.
