Smartsheet is Hiring a Remote IT Systems Administrator (Remote Eligible)

Smartsheet is looking for an experienced Systems Administrator with a solid technical background combined with excellent customer service skills. A successful candidate will design, plan, and implement various SaaS and on-prem technologies delivering reliable, scalable systems and achieving operational excellence.

You will report to the Manager of IT Infrastructure based in Bellevue, WA. This role is fully remote eligible!

You Will:

  • Participate in planning and deployment of critical Saas and on-prem infrastructure for Corporate IT
  • Administer, maintain, and support various IaaS and SaaS platforms as well as Windows and Linux Server environments
  • Provide escalated systems support for Service Desk, problem resolution, and mentoring across the Corporate IT team
  • Identify opportunities to improve our service delivery model, present findings, and, where aligned, architect, plan, and deploy solutions with associated processes and training for peers and other team members
  • Conduct in-depth technical investigations to determine root cause
  • Rotate in with Tier-2 escalation support to our on-call staff of our corporate infrastructure
  • Take ownership of a number of key services, including ongoing evolution to drive efficiencies and service improvements
  • Drive continuous improvement through process re-engineering
  • Evaluate and monitor usage to ensure capacity is meeting growth requirements
  • Partner with the compliance/security team to prevent, detect, and investigate suspicious activity

You Have:

  • 5 years of work experience in a production Windows and Linux environment working as a systems administrator
  • Ability to plan, organize, schedule and implement multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent conceptual, organizational, analytical, and problem solving skills
  • Experience with OKTA (or other SSO products), AWS and/or Azure, Powershell (or other scripting language)
  • Experience with SOX or other compliance (HIPAA or PCI)
  • Familiarity with internet protocols, network firewalls, routing, switching, and VPN
  • Foundational knowledge of ITIL concepts and frameworks required.
  • Ability to work an occasional evening, holiday, or weekend
