ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develops, analyzes and documents requirements with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develops strong understanding of technology supporting the application to drive functionality that is in line with the data structures, integration points, user interface and application usability.
  • Manages project prioritization process for system enhancements and corrections.
  • Develops clear scope documents for IT work requests with minimal guidance and provide guidance to others. Scope documents will include a well-defined scope statement, requirements, assumptions, risks, and specific items identified as out of scope.
  • Maps business processes related to definition of new or enhanced technical functionality. Perform thorough analysis of business processes and opportunities.
  • Facilitates scoping sessions to define a clear understanding of the business process where technology will be applied.
  • Engages all necessary groups within Smart Warehousing to collect accurate estimates on costs and anticipated install dates of software development requests.
  • Facilitates QA system testing to ensure each feature created or modified meets the requirements identified in scoping and confirm the existing application works as expected. Will perform bulk of the system testing and lead the business through User Acceptance Testing.
  • Provides on-going support for the core application(s). Seeks opportunities to eliminate support activity by proposing process and/or technology changes.
  • Monitors deliverables and ensures timely completion of projects.
  • Constructs workflow charts and diagrams; studies system capabilities and writes specifications.
  • Owns relationship with stakeholders and partners with them to optimize and enhance integrations.
  • Develops sampling procedures and directions for recording and reporting quality data.
  • Plans, conducts and monitors testing and inspection of materials and products to ensure finished product quality.
  • Coordinates involvement of personnel from other departments and Information Technology groups to facilitate successful project implementations. Includes engagement in scoping, building, testing and deployment. Performs follow up with the business after deployment to confirm changes working as expected.
  • Publishes regular updates to the business highlighting technology changes recently implemented and projects that are in progress.
  • Supports Sales team by providing expertise on our existing solution capabilities and when needed, identifying possible options to meet unique customer requirements.
  • Basic SQL skills will be used to search the database for order and receipt data.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

“THE PERSON” | MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to travel up to 5% as directed.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Ability to adapt to a fast paced, rapidly changing environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, equivalent or closely related field.
  • Minimum 1-5 years of experience as a Business or Process Analyst or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Hands-on experience of requirements gathering and business process mapping.
  • Experience in the third-party logistics/warehousing industry preferred.
