POSITION SUMMARY: **The Director of Marketing is responsible for planning, developing, implementing, and managing the overall marketing and communications strategy, as well as the overall Smart Warehousing brand and image. This individual will operate as a high growth leader to develop and manage a strong demand lead generation program heavily focused on web-based initiatives. The ideal candidate is a hands-on modern marketer who thinks digital first with experience in B2B growth through SEO, marketing automation, close loop campaign measurement and CPA/LTV/ROI metrics. Success in this position will be evaluated based on team meeting department and revenue goals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and develop the marketing team, while working closely with sales, customer success and revenue operations
  • Oversight of the company brand, SEO strategy, website, and enhancements.
  • Oversees and manages all communication, content, and marketing efforts.
  • Responsible for growing lead volume and improving performance.
  • Identifies and leads relationships with B2B influencers to assist with growth strategy.
  • Owns MQL goals, campaign optimization, new campaign identification and general performance improvement.
  • Conducts research and competitive analysis to inform plans and tactics to remain best in class with competitors and educate sales.
  • Analyzes and generates daily and monthly marketing reports as well as provide recommendations on strategies to optimize and improve performance through Analytics.
  • Participates as a thought-leader by sharing knowledge and best practices with leadership and business unit teams.
  • Collaborates with division leaders to ensure all marketing initiatives and messaging are consistent and aligned with company and division goals.
  • Tracks and reports KPIs, lead generation pipeline impact, revenue, and ROI metrics.
  • Promotes company brand to all stakeholders and builds and maintains a positive public image for Smart Warehousing.

"THE PERSON" | MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration or related field preferred
  • 7 or more years of relevant experience leading and developing teams, igniting sales growth and ROI metric management.
  • Ability to think strategically and act tactically.
  • Experience in brand management and website redesign and content management.
  • Familiar and experienced with CRMs (HubSpot is a plus), data automation and tech stack for lead generation and analysis.
  • Proven track record of driving revenue and ROI.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration and influencing skills required.
  • Critical thinker with an ability to apply data and analytics to drive decision making and impact marketing analytics required.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to implement changes rapidly that positively impact marketing performance.
  • Ability to balance multiple requirements in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Highly motivated, resourceful, and self-directed.
  • Ability to be detailed oriented while seeing trends, themes, and macro-impacts.
  • Must live in the Kansas City area or be willing to relocate within 6 months.
