We are looking for a detail-oriented, tech-savvy, customer-centric, get-your-hands-dirty Field Engineer to support our rapidly growing high-tech company. As a leader in AI and machine learning vision, the demand for our systems and services has exploded across multiple industries requiring us to expand our field engineering team. This role is critical to our success as it directly interfaces with the end customer and manages system installations from planning all the way to support, ensuring a positive implementation experience.

This candidate must be willing to relocate as this is an in-person position in Orem, UT with typical business hours running from Monday through Thursday from 7AM to 5PM, and one scheduled Friday per month. 

Duties and Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical and electrical issues in production facilities both remotely and in person.
• Orchestrate and execute new system installations
• Connect to and troubleshoot customer networks
• Configure and calibrate devices in the field.

• Provide detailed training to customer management and operators
• Document solutions to known issues
• Travel to customer sites >75% of the time. 
• Willingness to swap weekday work to weekend work as projects require

Required Qualifications

• Outstanding customer service skills
• Excellent analytical, interpersonal, communication skills
• Able to read electrical/mechanical drawings
• Able to analyze complex issues and alternate solutions

• Working knowledge of test equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters)
• Able to lift and carry 50lbs.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5-10 years hands-on electrical experience
• Experience with heavy machinery and systems

• Experience working in a production or manufacturing environment a plus
• 1-3 years of exposure to hardware / software integration
• 2-3 years of project management or direct customer interface experience
• Project Management (PMP certification a plus)
• Basic understanding of computer networking

• CAD or other drawing software experience a plus
• Knowledge and understanding of Linux software a plus
• Experience working with robotics a plus
• Exposure to machine vision technology a plus

Work Schedule

• Five-day work week

• Daily schedule; 8am-5pm
