Responsibilities

Summary

SMART Modular Technologies, a wholly-owned subsidiary of SMART Global Holdings, Inc. (SGH), is looking for an entry level Test Engineer.

• Meet and manage Test KPI targets and performance on daily basis.
• Responsible to identify test failures root cause based on data analysis/paper FA. Perform DOE to duplicate/reproduce the failure prior engaging with device supplier/manufacturer for root cause and corrective action.
• Responsible for providing product engineering support to ensure an effective and productive operation of existing test engineering
• Analyze test data on daily basis to identify abnormal failure such as NDF and perform test characterization to identify failure RC and implement CA. 
• Plan, manage and work on resolving equipment line problems, and prepare the manufacturing line for ramp up

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain test programs of Memory products in high volume manufacturing to ensure Memory products meet their specifications.
• Sustains products with cost reduction & yield improvements
• Responsible for tester & test design/improvement setup to meet quality and yield indicators. 
• Engage and execute efficient test process enhancement for NPIs that enables high FPY for sustaining products.
• Involves in big data analysis by performing correlation study on parameters that causes failure.
• Responsible to work with design team to drive for product yield improvement.
• Improvement study on Product quality & reliability in term of performance, design and MFG process.
• Monitoring product performance based on product specification.
• Develop, Validate and debug test scripts
• Measurements by ATE (Automatic Test Equipment) as well as oscilloscopes, multi-meter and other bench tester
• Drive data collection and analysis to support creation and implementation of Best-Known Methods (BKMs) across DRAM technologies.
• Define product test flow and develop/maintain test programs.
• Manage manufacturing line excursions by working with Product and Quality Engineers to identify the affected material, implement containment actions and drive root cause investigation and analysis.
• Involve in new product introduction to manufacturing to achieve the defined test goals and ensuring test monitors are in place
• Implement automation process for better quality & productivity

Job Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Good communication and writing skill in English.
• Approachable and proactive attitude.
• Proficient skill in programming language such as Unix, Python, C ,C-Sharp, SQL will be added advantage.

Experience/Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or related Electronics based Engineering discipline.
• Fresh graduate or 1-3 years of Product Engineering experience in assembly, testing and qualification.
