What you’ll be doing:

Smart Choice Communications is seeking a highly motivated, organized, and customer-service oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our growing team. In this role, the successful candidate will oversee billing operations and processes to ensure proper and timely collection of account balances. The ideal candidate will have strong experience supporting collection efforts, reviewing account discrepancies, providing best-in-class customer support, and managing the monthly AR reports. This is an exceptional opportunity to hit the ground running at a fun, fast-paced company with great opportunities for growth and promotion.

You will be responsible for…

Overall management of the accounts receivable portfolio of the company.

• Processing incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
• Perform day to day financial transactions., including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts receivables data.
• Preparing bills, invoices, and bank deposits.
• Reconciling the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
• Providing client support via email and telephone, resolving/verifying billing discrepancies.
• Facilitating payment of invoices due by managing and following the 4-step collection process.
• Generating financial statements and reports detailing accounts receivable status for management.
• Owning/running the bimonthly collections meeting; reporting updates to management.
• Establishing and maintaining strong working relationships with clients and other functional groups.
• Performing other duties as assigned. 

What skills & experience you’ll bring...

• A bachelor’s degree; Finance or Accounting is highly preferred
• A minimum of 2 years of high-volume collections and/or billing experience
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office – particularly in MS Excel and MS Teams
• Proficiency in QuickBooks
• Experience within Telecommunications industry highly preferred
• Experience with Rev.io billing systems a MAJOR plus
• Proficiency in MS Office (MS Teams and Excel)
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a dedication to customer satisfaction
• Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize
• Ability to work independently and self-motivated
