Job Overview

We are looking for a competent Billing specialist to undertake a variety of financial and non-financial tasks in order to help guarantee the company’s revenues. You will handle the processing of incoming payments along with the issuing of necessary paperwork. This position requires an excellent eye for detail to catch errors on invoices and billing and time-management skills. The ideal candidate should be a good problem-solver, analytical, and have excellent technical skills.

Responsibilities

• Assume the responsibility of receiving and sorting incoming payments with attention to credibility
• Manage the status of accounts and balances
• Issue and post bills, receipts, and invoices
• Check the validity of debit accounts
• Update accounts receivable database with new accounts or missed payments
• Ability to research, identify inconsistencies, and satisfaction of end resolution
• Write thorough reports on billing activity with clear and reliable data
• Ensure all clients remain informed on their outstanding debts and deadlines
• Correspond with clients via email and phone
• Provide solutions to any relative problems of clients
• Capability to translate complex issues and processes to others at various levels
• Other duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager

Qualifications

• High school diploma required, and an associate in business or related field preferred
• 2 or more years of related experience required
• Comfortable dealing with numbers and the processing of financial information
• Results-driven and patient
• Exceptional knowledge of MS Office; particularly Excel and Word
• High degree of attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong time-management skills
