Qualifications

Works to clean and maintain the appearance inside and outside the facility, according to company and customer requirements, ensuring quality standards are consistently met, using safe practices and producing at the appropriate rate for the job.

Works to maintain the cleanliness of the entire building, inside and outside

• Sweeps, mops, dusts, vacuums, removes trash, washes windows, etc. on a daily basis

• Operates the floor cleaner as needed

• Tracks inventory and restocks materials including: paper towels, soap, hand sanitizer, etc.

• Follows procedures for use of all cleaning supplies

• Communicates with supervisors/managers regarding any repairs needed, supplies needed,

etc.

• Cleans and maintains the bathrooms, lunchroom spaces, conference rooms, etc.

• Cleans up/maintains the appearance of the outside of the facility including the parking lot

• Completes landscaping and seasonal snow removal including: maintenance of property,

walkways/parking lots, spreading salt, and operating various equipment as needed

• Participates in cross departmental work production based on business needs

• Learns and upholds defined quality standards to ensure maximum customer satisfaction

and optimize work efficiency

• Strives to achieve team and individual specified production targets

• Provides complete, accurate documentation when required

• Communicates clearly with teammates and supervisors regarding all aspects of the job

• Reports problems that arise with machines, materials, jobs, or team members; and offers

solutions where possible within the scope of the duties of the job

• Learns and follows Smalley requirements for employee safety, product quality, and

productivity

• Adheres to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment including:

appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), participation in mandatory safety

training, and reports any concerns immediately

• Keeps workspace clean and organized to maximize safety and productivity by adhering to

Smalley’s 6S process

• Participates in ongoing training, educational meetings, and daily communication

Requirements

▪ Experience working in a manufacturing or related environment

▪ 2 years’ experience working in an Industrial Janitor role preferred

▪ Basic Mechanical and Maintenance experience

▪ Experience operating hand tools and power tools

▪ Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team

▪ Pass required exam of basic math and English
