SkyePoint Decisions is Hiring a Cloud Security Engineer (MCAS) Near Springfield, VA

Overview

SkyePoint Decisions, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated, team player to fill the role of Cloud Security Engineer to support a Department of State (DOS) Enterprise Network Management Support (ENM Support) program. The Cloud Security Engineer will help enable the security of a federal client’s cloud environment. The individual must be able to pull and evaluate security data logs while also working with data engineer output to analyze the effectiveness of the solution. Specific experience with Microsoft Cloud App Security (MCAS) is needed. Top candidates will be able to execute and enable an already defined cloud architecture and security strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Design and engineer MCAS network security configurations
  • Design and engineer MCAS to protect SaaS applications
  • Design and engineer firewall changes to ingest firewall logs, recommend firewall changes per log analysis
  • Design and engineer MCAS for cloud discovery
  • MCAS outboarding
  • Add application as custom connected app in MCAS
  • Configure session policy in MCAS
  • Tier 3 O&M of MCAS network security configurations

Qualifications

  • Active Security Security Clearance is required with the ability to obtain Top Secret
  • Bachelor's degree in an IT field 
  • Must have 5-10 years of hands on experience in the IT space
  • Must have at least 5 years experience delivering and deploying AD engineering services in a cloud environment
  • Must have 3-5 years of experience designing, deploying, and managing Microsoft Cloud App Security
  • Must have proven experience with Palo Alto firewalls
  • Must have a strong knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Active Directory systems and architecture to include design and configuration of AD role-based access solutions
  • Must have the ability to design and build conditional access polices, and processes within Active Directory
  • Must have a strong understanding of cloud access security solutions and associated Active Directory engineering
  • Should have a strong understanding and experience with Microsoft’s security stack and other M365 security products
  • Should have a strong understanding and experience referencing the NIST framework
  • Should have an understanding and experience with Identity Access Management (IAM) concepts and technologies
  • Should experience with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) technologies such as Splunk and those native to AWS and Azure
  • Past experience and understanding with Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB) preferred
  • Should have experience delivering services to federal clients
  • Minimum of a Secret security clearance is required
