We’re looking for a People Systems Leader to join the Skydio team to help us architect and build our People Systems. In November of 2021, Skydio began an overhaul of their overall People Systems to take us from 300 employees to 1,000 over the next few years. Workday is at the center of our People Systems stack and went live in December 2022. With this transformative project being a key priority for the Skydio organization, we are looking for someone to work closely with People Operations, Finance, Leadership and other internal partners utilizing your expertise, creativity and innovation to collaboratively implement the overall Workday solution. Our goal is to have an integrated People Systems ecosystem to deliver solutions that efficiently support our business processes and organizational programs. 

What You'll Do

• Partner across People Operations and stakeholders in requirement gathering, solution architecture, and implementation in Workday to meet the needs of the rapidly growing business.
• Translate business requirements into creative and effective technical/functional designs with scalable systems architecture in mind, then drive the implementation of those solutions from end-to-end.
• Collaborate with partners and developers to build integrations between our various People systems with other core business systems.
• Support the configuration, integration, and maintenance of our People systems ecosystem including Workday, Greenhouse, etc.
• Perform configuration and administration of Workday core business processes, security maintenance, data loads, integrations, and upgrades.
• Promote and establish standard methodologies in business systems analysis, holistic design, and testing to ensure the team is providing outstanding quality work that meets compliance needs and makes it easy to do the right thing throughout the company.
• Continuously reviews and improves on the quality and completeness of internal technical documentation.
• Identify system gaps and deficiencies, and conduct long-term improvement projects to ensure compatibility with the company’s evolving business applications landscape and needs.
• Be responsible for People Operations team’s Systems and Process strategy, which includes end-to-end management of all People tools, frameworks, processes and yearly priorities.
• Leverage data and storytelling to support decision-making, escalate risks, lead quarterly business reviews, and monitor adoption of People initiatives across Skydio
• Demonstrate expert-level understanding of core HR functionalities including recruiting, compensation, benefits, payroll and performance management.

What We're Looking For

• HRIS experience with 4 years of hands-on Workday implementation and configuration experience.
• Strong configuration knowledge of Workday HCM, including Core HCM , Benefits, Compensation, Advanced Compensation, Payroll, and Time Tracking.
• Strong Workday Reporting including Advanced Reports, Matrix and composite reports.
• Understand Workday security, SOX compliance, and controls to effectively manage and maintain security and roles.
• Acute business acumen and understanding of organizational issues and challenges
• Ability to lead multiple projects (with often shifting priorities) in ambiguous, dynamic, high velocity situations
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to communicate clearly with both internal partners, including at the executive level, and external development resources plus extensive experience in process documentation.
• Ability to manage timelines, communicate delays, and clarify ambiguous requirements.
• Self-motivated, creative and adaptable with clear analytical, problem solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in a Technology-related field)

Nice to Haves:

• Workday or related certifications
• Work experience at a company that has implemented both Workday HCM and Payroll
• Experience with Agile/Scrum development processes
• Greenhouse/ATS experience

Compensation Range: The annual base salary range for this position is $124,950 - $200,000*. Compensation will vary based on factors, including skill level, proficiencies, transferable knowledge, and experience. In addition to base salary, Skydio full-time employees are eligible to enroll in our benefit plans and take advantage of a variety of incentives and stipends.
