Quality Control Specialist
Location: Fort Riley, Kansas - TFM
Type: Non-Exempt
Work Schedule: Full Time, Day Shift
Compensation: Competitive Wage Dependent on Experience

Skookum is seeking a dedicated and reliable Quality Control Specialist with a professional attitude.
Typical duties include but are not limited to:
  • Spend time in and out of the office reviewing work, performing quality control surveillance of services discussing quality levels with supervisors and ensuring that all problem areas are identified and corrected in a timely manner.
  • Perform and document daily inspection results utilizing the inspection program and/or forms, as applicable. Inspection types can include, but are not limited to pre, in-progress, and final inspections of multi-disciplines of construction and repair. Ensure all project and preventative maintenance requirements are met.
  • Establish and maintain excellent relationships in any interactions with customers, employees and management while performing duties
  • Review, update and maintain a listing of building/ facility for area of responsibilities as needed.
  • Assists the Quality Control Manager in developing a wide variety of employee skills to deliver efficient, effective, and thorough quality control reports.
Qualifications:
  • Associates degree in Quality preferred
  • Knowledge of or experience in Quality are preferred.
  • Experience in Construction or Facilities required.
Physical Requirements:
Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance. The physical demands of this position may be reasonably accommodated for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions on a case-by-case basis.
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • May be required to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties.
  • Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and walking. Standing or sitting for several hours at a time, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and up and down stairs may also be required.
  • Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.
Requirements:
  • Valid state driver’s license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Skookum’s insurance.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access. A background check and E-Verify will be conducted for this position.
  • Per our government contract “2.1.11.3 All Contractor employees shall be legal U.S. residents. The Contractor shall immediately remove an employee that is not a legal U.S. resident. The Contractor personnel shall be able to communicate clearly in the English language.”
