Reporting directly to the CEO, the Head of Finance will plan, manage, and execute the financial strategy for Skiptown, the all-in-one ecosystem for pets and their people offering a full suite of pet services and a dog bar & park. This leader will support Skiptown’s financial strategy as we build 50 locations in the next 5 years.

As our Head of Finance you will…

• Own all strategic FP&A functions, including financial modeling and strategic planning, multi-year forecasting, financial analysis, and budgeting
• Own the financial process for all expansion activities including construction budgeting, location financing strategy, and developer relationships
• Own all controllership and accounting functions, including management of receivables and payables, purchasing process, payroll and expense management, cash management, tax compliance and strategy, and cost allocations
• Lead board conversations related to financial strategy, performance and results.
• Be responsible for all equity, debt and banking functions, including cap table management, cap table strategy, investor relations, debt strategy, negotiation and management, and financial institution/investment banking relationships
• Work with GMs on per-market P&L’s

• Lead all audit-related functions, including audit relationships, successful and timely completion of audits
• Manage state registrations and local business compliance and licensing
• Manage tax filings

Requirements:

• 5 years of finance experience with 2 years in leadership running Accounting, Financial Operations, and/or FP&A
• Deep understanding of financial modeling and key metrics used in consumer services; strong understanding of GAAP
• Bonus: Previous experience working in finance at a high-growth startup.
• Bonus: Expertise in consumer-focused operational business with multiple real estate locations.
• Bonus: Familiarity with Stripe or large volume credit card processing is a plus
• MBA/MAc and CPA or other relevant qualification is a plus
