SK Life Science, Inc. is Hiring a Manager, Project Management Office Near Paramus, NJ

Overview

  • Provides Project Management Office support to Project Mangers.
  • Is expected to be fully independent, able to manage and provide critical thinking when reviewing Project Management related reports, and PMO initiatives, The manager is expected to leverage internal PMO standards and use Project Management theory and practices to enable success.
  • May have a unique or specific area of expertise that is leveraged for specific business purpose

Responsibilities

Project Management Office (PMO)

The Manager (i.e. Project Manager) will be expected to support the PMO (Project Management Office) by performing the following activities:

  • Organizing and distributing Project Management Office meeting schedules, ensuring department standards are being met and Project Managers are being compliant to PMO standards.
  • Responsible for the review and distribution of weekly and monthly Clinical Program MS Project Reports.
  • QA/QC standard department reports to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  • Responsible for communicating and consolidating project team list updates, SKBP clinical tracker updates, SKBP risk slides, SG Portfolio System Updates for R&D Programs
  • Tracking, following up and closing out action items in an organized process (action item list), is required.
  • Will be responsible to manage and review all timelines in the scheduling tool being used by project management.
  • As the individual responsible for the Project Management Office, the manager is expected to convey status updates and critical issues to the Project Management department.

Project Management Contract Liaison

  • The Manager will be the point of contact between Project Management and legal as the Contract Learned Intermediary.
  • As the Contract liaison the role is to liaisons between the Law Department and each functional group in the company for the drafting and negotiation of contracts.
  • The Contract Learned Intermediary role consist of being the internal communicator for the Project Management department into legal.

R&D FTE Stage Gate Management

  • Organize, support and manage LSI R&D FTE Management Stagegate system, provide training, guidance, resolve issues and communicate with SKBP.
  • Update and report LSI R&D FTE tracking to SKBP (New employee, Terminated staff, Organizational changes)
  • Responsible for identifying potential issues/ risk that could hinder timely submission of SKLSI Stagegate timesheets for project budget closing.

Business Operations (up to 50% of the time)

  • Support the R&D organization by supporting task forces and other activities with business related activities including but not limited to:
    • Creating functional timeline templates for specific functional tasks.
    • Involvement with task forces as needed to ensure processes are set up as well as systems and or databases so processes can proceed and mature.
    • Support the organization with training on ad-hoc related activities to ensure cross-functional knowledge and transparency.
    • Supporting functional needs in reviewing and helping to organize data and or information that are required by the function and or across R&D
    • Any other evolving business needs in a growing organization

Supervision Exercised:

  • Oversight may be required for Associate Manager level colleagues

Qualifications

Education Preferred:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a related field or commensurate experience required. For a R&D position, a science degree or related degree is preferred. If the position is for non-R&D projects, degree in related field strongly preferred.
  • Additional coursework in business and a Project Management certificate is highly desired, PMI’s PMP certification is ideal.

Work Experience:

  • 5 years of progressive pharmaceutical experience in the same and/or related area of work.

Other:

The Manager of Project Management (Project Manager) will expected to have strong computer and analytical skills, moderate scheduling experience on plans up to 200-500 lines of activities. The candidate will need to be comfortable using MS Office Tools/Applications and some type of scheduling tool, preferably MS Project or Primavera.
