Medical Records Technician

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Reports to: D2GS Program Manager

Summary

The Medical Records Technician is to provide Administrative Care Coordinator services to the Medical and Dental Nonclinical Case Management team in support of Individual Medical Readiness (IMR).

Responsibilities 

The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by the employee assigned to this job. Other duties may be assigned.

• Inputting medical and dental data into appropriate systems.
• Work with soldiers to resolve scheduling conflicts for required medical or dental care.
• Obtain the proper release of information forms from Soldiers and medical/dental offices.
• Track all medical statuses.
• Perform interviews with soldiers.
• Conduct case reviews.
• Perform database system functions as required to process Soldier data in electronic data systems used by the CTARNG via MEDPROS, MEDChart, eCase, HRR, and AVS.
• Maintain all records.
• Arrange for treatment if necessary, conduct follow-up. 
• Provide administrative support to soldiers with medical appointments. 
• Maintain all information in appropriate databases.

Requirements

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

• Minimum 3 years’ experience.
• FBI fingerprint background check required.
• Prior Army Military experience.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Requires occasional weekend work support
