POSITION PURPOSE The Staff Accountant is responsible for assisting with the monthly accounting close and reporting cycle, completing account reconciliations, and conducting regular and ad-hoc analysis. Ensures all SitePro equipment standards are adhered to and executed consistent with company direction. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES Perform accounting tasks within the area of assignment, to include research and resolution of potential errors or discrepancies. Maintain general ledger Create, monitor, and post accruals and journal entries for closing duties to ensure all deadlines and schedules are met. Provide bank and general ledger account reconciliations. Analyze variances and identify trends and opportunities to lower or control costs. Monitor and analyze key performance metrics of the company to further develop strategies to improve performance. Support annual external audit Design, document, and implement workflow, procedures, checklists, and policies for assigned tasks. Partner with Operations, Sales, and corporate leadership on various requests/tasks Perform other related duties as assigned minimum qualifications Basic Knowledge & Competencies Excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills Ability to prioritize workload, multi-task and confidently perform in a fast-paced environment Strong time-management skills ton include execution to meet established deadlines Demonstrated ability to analyze complex information, draw logical conclusions, and make sound recommendations Ability to read and comprehend contractual language Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel Previous Experience/Education Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Accounting 1 year experience as a Staff Accountant or relevant experience in Public Accounting Experience with integrated ERP systems; Net Suite experience preferred PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Working conditions are normal for an office environment Frequent use of hands to manipulate the keyboard, telephone, files and other equipment Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
