SiSTEM Tutoring Agency is looking for tutors that can tutor in Math, Science, Reading, Writing, and Foreign Language (Spanish) for students in Grades K-12, in a face-to-face environment and in a virtual environment. As a SiSTEM Tutor, you can work as any of the following below. Here are the requirements and responsibilities for each:
Private Tutor (In-Person or Virtual):
  • You will set your availability based on your schedule.
  • You will receive tutoring requests from students and parents for your services.
  • You can tutor in person in the student’s home, a library, or a coffee shop; (In-Person Tutoring is PREFERRED at this time).
  • You will work with students 1-on-1 (for both in-person tutoring and virtual tutoring).
  • You can tutor virtually right here in our state-of-the-art virtual environment (We do not use ZOOM).
  • You will be paid weekly on Fridays via direct deposit; $13/hr - $27/hr DOE.
  • We have an in-house interventional resource that you can use; however, you are welcome to supplement with your own resources if needed.
Campus Immersion Tutor (In-Person or Virtual):
  • You can work either full days (8am-4pm CST), half days (8am-12pm CST or 12pm-4pm CST), after-school hours (4pm CST onwards), or weekends (Saturdays/Sundays).
  • You can tutor in person at the designated school campus (In-Person Tutoring is PREFERRED at this time).
  • You can tutor virtually right here in our state-of-the-art virtual environment (We do not use ZOOM).
  • You will work with 2-5 students per group (in-person tutoring).
  • You will work 1-on-1 with students (virtual tutoring).
  • You will be paid weekly on Fridays via direct deposit; $15/hr - $27/hr DOE.
  • Campuses will provide the resources so you do not have to come up with your own.
  • You will receive paid training; $12/hr - $17/hr DOE.
Test-Prep Tutor (Virtual Only):
  • You will set your availability based on your schedule.
  • You will receive tutoring requests from students and parents for your services.
  • You can tutor in person in the student’s home, a library, or a coffee shop.
  • You will work with students 1-on-1 (for both in-person tutoring and virtual tutoring).
  • You can tutor virtually right here in our state-of-the-art virtual environment (We do not use ZOOM).
  • You will be paid weekly on Fridays via direct deposit.
  • You must have scored in the 80th percentile or better in the ACT, SAT, GMAT, GRE, MCAT, PCAT, OAT, DAT, or NCLEX.
SiSTEM Tutoring Agency Qualifications & Requirements:
ALL SiSTEM tutors must be any of these:
  • A student teacher with at least 60 hours of credit.
  • A college student with at least 60 hours of credit.
  • A college graduate (Associates, Bachelor’s, Master’s degree holder).
  • A certified teacher.
  • A retired teacher.
And ALL SiSTEM Tutors MUST have:
  • Eligible to work in the United States of America.
  • A minimum of 2 years of tutoring or teaching in a classroom or school environment.
  • Expertise in K-12 Math, K-12 Reading, K-12 Writing, and K-12 Science with an emphasis in elementary and middle school Math & Reading.
  • Can commit to tutoring for the 2022-2023 school year (Note: school year starts mid- to late-August 2022 and ends early June 2023).
  • For in-person tutoring, you must have reliable transportation and be able to attend in-person tutoring sessions in a timely and consistent manner.
  • Must have a selfless commitment to making a difference in students' lives.
  • If you are Bilingual (Spanish) that is a plus!
