Siskin Children's Institute is Hiring a Board Certified Behavior Analyst Near Chattanooga, TN

Description

JOB SUMMARY:

The BCBA provides a range of applied behavior analytic (ABA) assessment and clinical services for children with autism spectrum disorder, and/or other related behavioral and developmental disabilities. The BCBA will provide direct clinical therapy in clinical and community-based settings. The BCBA will lead/attend meetings and conduct on-going staff trainings as it relates to the ABA program. The BCBA consults and teaches Registered Behavior Technician’s (RBT’s) regarding proactive, educational, programming, and behavioral support; develops and implements comprehensive treatment plans, and collaborates with the pediatric center medical and therapy team to better clinical outcomes for the families we serve. The BCBA will assist in developing strategies for program growth, and is responsible for accurate documentation, reports and program records.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (Essential functions are the basic job duties that an employee must be

able to perform, with or without reasonable accommodation.)

  • Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments; write individualized behavior plans
  • Provide direct behavior therapy to young children diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder in home, school and/or clinical setting
  • Design behavioral interventions based on client’s needs and current research
  • Provide training, supervision and oversight to RBT’s and other non-certified staff
  • Graph and visually analyze data
  • Provide training and consultation to parents and/or teachers
  • Work in a team to facilitate optimal care and exceptional outcomes for patients

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

Required: Certification by the Behavior Analyst certification Board. A Master’s degree in special education, psychology, or related field, with specialized knowledge of behavioral health and treatment philosophies and professional practices.

Preferred: A minimum of three years of recent experience working with individuals who have autism spectrum disorders and their families.

  • Knowledge of early childhood and autism assessment tools and procedures, and thorough knowledge of child development.
  • Experience developing positive behavior support plans and programs.
  • Knowledge of current methods and techniques of applied behavior analysis and discrete trial training.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with patient, parents and professionals.
  • Basic computer skills and be able to use all required software.
  • Respect for cultural diversity and capability of adapting ABA procedures to that diversity.
  • Provide ABA training for parent and other caregivers.
  • Maintain 75% billable productivity.
